Happy Memorial Day!
SHEENA CRAWLEY RACES TO ALL- AMERICAN HONORS
On Saturday, Diplomat Sheena Crawley ran to an eighth-place finish in the finals of the 800-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Crawley, a rising sophomore, qualified on Friday with school record-breaking time of 2:11.39. Congratulations!!
On Friday, Nils Michaelis equaled his personal best of 14.57 in the prelims of the 110 -hurdles. Although Michaelis did not qualify for the finals, he finished his premier season at F&M with the nation’s best Division III runners.
And, loyal Diplomats, those are the closing results for
the 2009-2010 year. Thank you for your dedication, your
generosity and your cheers that encouraged our student-athletes to
pursue excellence. There are too many highlights to mention
-without leaving out a deserving team or individual.
I, therefore, prefer to give credit to the coaches, athletic
trainers, sports information, equipment and administrative
staff. And finally, I salute each one of the hundreds
of Diplomat student-athletes who took the challenge and donned the
Franklin & Marshall blue and white. You are a daily
joy and inspiration!
