LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Tyler Daley was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Baseball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the second of Daley's career and the first for a Diplomat this season.
Daley (Kensington, Md. / Georgetown Prep) was on a tear at the plate last week, putting together an impressive (.621/.703/.862) split with 18 hits in 29 at-bats through eight games. The senior outfielder registered five doubles and a triple while drawing three walks. He scored 16 runs, notched seven RBIs and stole a pair of bases.
On Tuesday against Stockton, Daley put together a career day in the Diplomats' 29-15 win by tallying a perfect 6-for-6 effort at the plate to go along with three runs scored, three RBIs and a walk.
F&M wrapped up its Florida Spring Break trip with a 9-1 record and returned to Lancaster with a 10-5 overall mark on the season.
