For the third consecutive game, F&M has shot over 50 percent from the floor including a 55.4 percent showing today to remain undefeated on the season and earn its second conference win.
The Diplomats did not waste any time taking the early lead, jumping out to 12-4 in the opening 3:11 thanks to six points by McNally. A Barnes layup got Muhlenberg within five at 16-11, but F&M scored the next seven points, six coming from three-pointers by Scovill and Tolliver for a 23-11 lead.
With 2:09 left in the half, Tolliver drained a triple and was fouled for a four-point play to make it 38-25 and the Diplomats capitalized on back-to-back fast-break layups in the final 30 seconds for a 45-29 lead at the break. F&M scored 19 of its first half points off 12 Muhlenberg turnovers.
The Diplomats brought the same mentality to the second half, keeping the Mules out of reach. The greatest lead for F&M was an 18-point margin at the 17:13 mark after Milligan's pull-up jumper got a 51-33 advantage.
Muhlenberg battled to the end, scoring 10 points in the final 1:40 but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit incurred throughout the game.
Anthony Brooks matched Milligan with a career-high nine assists to go with eight points, five rebounds and three steals.
The Diplomats play their final game of the semester on Wednesday against Hunter. Game time is 7 p.m.
