LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team will make its 14th appearance in the Centennial Conference (CC) playoffs tomorrow on the recently dedicated Glenn Robinson Court. The defending CC Champions look to win their sixth CC-Crown and 17th conference title in the program's history.
The Diplomats have the most tournament appearances out of any team in the CC as they look to win back-to-back titles since Ursinus did in 2005 and 2006. F&M holds a 15-5 home court advantage in the playoffs, including a 3-1 mark the previous two seasons.
Top-seeded and 19th ranked F&M (20-5, 15-3) will play at 3 p.m. on Saturday opposite No. 5 seed Haverford (14-11, 10-8 CC), a 61-60 winner over No. 4 seed McDaniel in the first-round game on Wednesday.
Gettysburg finished in third place in the conference standings to earn the No. 3 seed in the CC tournament. The team will face No. 2 seed Dickinson College (14-11, 12-6 CC) in the semifinals on Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
The championship game will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at F&M. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
