PHOENIX, Ariz. – Franklin & Marshall head men's basketball coach Glenn Robinson was presented with the Division III Outstanding Service Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches last week at the association's annual convention. Robinson and two others were honored for significant contributions both as coaches, outstanding educators, and members of their communities.
Robinson was joined by David Hixon of Amherst and Steve Moore of Wooster as the Division III Outstanding Service Award was presented for the 21st time. The trio has accounted for 2,514 wins at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season.
Robinson, the who holds the record for career wins in Division III, has now compiled 930 career victories, 18 conference championships, and 24 NCAA Tournament appearances, with trips to the Final Four in 1979, 1991, 1996, 2000, and 2005. In his 46 years at F&M, all but three players to win a varsity letter have gone on to earn a degree.
