Diplomats Handle Haverford

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall cruised to an 83-56 victory over Haverford in Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center. F&M stays undefeated this season with a 7-0, 3-0 CC mark while the Fords fell to 3-4, 1-2 CC. 

F&M led wire-to-wire and jumped out to an early 15-6 lead five minutes into the game. The Fords came within five, 15-10, at 13:02 before F&M went on a 15-2 run to go out front 30-12 at 6:25. After a 9-2 spurt by the Fords, F&M closed out the half with an 11-0 run and took a 43-21 lead into the break. 

The second half was much of the same with F&M dominating the frame. F&M led by as many as 32 down the stretch and cruised to the victory. 

Brandon Federici led all scorers with 21 points and added six rebounds. J.C. McGrath added 13 and Ignas Slyka chipped in 11. Justin Kupa added 10 and Jerry Ben netted six for the Diplomats.

The Diplomats return to action on Wednesday when F&M hosts Johns Hopkins at 8:00 p.m.
