Diplomats Compete at MARC Championships

LEWISBERRY, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's crew team finished third at 2011 Middle Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championship at Gifford Pinchot Park Saturday afternoon.

F&M men competed in the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8, and Varsity 4+ events. Perennial powerhouse Washington won the championship for the second consecutive year, with Rutgers-Camden finishing second and F&M third.

The best finish of the day was rowed by the F&M Varsity 8 (Felipe Barron - cox, Nick Ferra - stroke, Clement Hsu, Connor TenCate, Jeff Smith, Ho Hong Lau, Jake Seidenberg, Will Riegel, David Kaess), which finished in third in 6:12.6, just behind Rutgers-Camden (6:12.2). Washington won the event in 6:02.3.

Nick Ferra, Clement Hsu, and Connor TenCate were named All-Conference

Saturday's event wrapped up the season for F&M.
