F&M Opens Season

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team opened its spring season today in Philadelphia, racing against Drexel and Villanova.

The varsity 4+ of Julia Scavicchio - cox, Clement Hsu - stroke, Connor Ten Cate, David Kaess, and Wade Stanley won their 2,000m event, in a time of 6:58, beating out two Drexel Crews.

The men's varsity 8+ Amanda Levit - cox, Jeff Smith, Greg Hershman, Sam Condon, Ben Weiserbs, Dan Clarici, Jeremy Hsu, Viet Tran, and Sam Alter faced three very fast crews from Drexel and Villanova. The Diplomats finished fourth in a time of 7:02; Drexel won the race with a time of 6:04.

F&M returns to action on Saturday when the Diplomats compete in the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia.
