Men’s Rowing Wraps Up Fall Competition

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Four boats competed at Saturday's Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia as Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team concluded the fall portion of its schedule.

Aidan Molloy and Sean Hyland teamed up in the Men's championship pair event, rowing to a seventh-place showing and a time of 17:09.603. 

A pair of boats competed in the Championship 8+ race with the Diplomats' First Varsity boat of Tamir Shemesh (coxswain), Aidan Molloy (8), Trexler Hirn (7), Lukas Grattan (6), Dylan Smith (5), James Jarvis (4), Harris Karlin (3), Ben Carroll (2), and Jesse Evers (1) completing the event in 16:13.448, followed by the Second Varsity 8+ boat of Cooney (coxswain), Calvin Coffeen (8), Brandon Schneider (7), Steven Nicodemo (6), Pablo Portela-Lomba (5), Sam Parsons (4), Nicholas Coury (3), Pierce Lawlor (2), and Giuseppe Inglima (1) close behind at 16:30.070. 

F&M also took part in the Novice 8+ race with Zerubabbel Asfaw (coxswain), Ricky Ferris (8), Christian Jones (7), Nicholas Coury (6), Muhammad Ahmed (5), James Overstreet (4), Elvis Wilson (3), John Shi (2), Carlos Ortiz (1) securing a time of 18:13.235.

The Diplomats are set to return to the water in the spring.
