Saturday’s game marks the eighth meeting between the F&M Diplomats and the W&J Presidents. It is also the eighth ECAC appearance for the Diplomats.
The series began on November 16, 1946 with the Presidents securing a 33-7 win. W&J leads the series 5-2 and is 2-1 when the Presidents are the home team. F&M’s pair of wins in the series came by the same score, 34-0, in 1950 and 1951. That was part of a three-game streak of shutouts in the series. W&J issued the first blanking, 13-0, in 1947 before the series took a brief hiatus.
