Game Notes: Ursinus (1-0, 0-0 CC) at Franklin & Marshall (1-0, 0-0 CC)

Saturday’s game with Ursinus marks the 92nd renewal of a series that dates back to 1894. The Diplomats have taken six of the last eight meetings including each of the last two. Franklin & Marshall holds a 62-25-4 lead in the series and a 19-8 lead since Centennial play began in 1983. In games played in Lancaster, F&M leads 34-11-2. The Diplomats won the initial contest by a score of 76-0. The Bears picked up their first win over F&M in the sixth meeting, a 16-0 victory in Collegeville in 1902.

D3Football.com billed this as the Centennial Championship game in the preseason. While that prediction may be a bit premature, both teams were at the top of the preseason poll, and both are looking to get the nine-game league slate off on the right foot on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on Sponaugle-Williamson Field.

Watch Live: Phil Soto-Ortiz and Bryan Stabbe have the call. Pregame starts at 12:40 p.m. on the Diplomats Game Central portal.
