LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2013 Football Bowl Championships Monday morning. This year 14 teams, including Franklin & Marshall, will be competing in seven bowls on Saturday, Nov. 23.
F&M will travel to Delaware Valley on Saturday to take on the Aggies at 12:00 p.m. at Robert A. Lipinski Field.
The ECAC Bowl bid is F&M's 10th overall and its third in the last four years. The Diplomats fell to Albright in last year's Southeast Bowl. F&M posted a 6-4 record, including a 6-3 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) action and finished third in the standings.
The Bowl marks the 10th time in the last 11 years that the Aggies have reached postseason play and it's their second straight trip to the ECACs as they defeated host Muhlenberg College, 24-21, to capture the 2012 South Atlantic Bowl. Delaware Valley finished the season with a 7-3 record and a 6-3 mark in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).
The Delaware Valley-F&M battle is one of three ECAC Bowl games that will take place in the South Region on Saturday. Muhlenberg College (8-2) will host Salisbury University (6-4) in the South Atlantic Bowl while Albright College (7-3) will host Juniata College (7-3) in the Southwest Bowl.
