Ignatovig and Koikoi Selected for Bowl Games

LANCASTER, Pa. – Seniors Ryan Ignatovig and A.J. Koikoi have been selected to participate in postseason senior all-star games. Both will play in the D3 Senior Classic while Ignatovig will also participate in the National Bowl and the Dream Bowl. 

Ignatovig (Phoenixville, Pa. / Pope John Paul II) was named to the Centennial Conference (CC) First Team at the conclusion of this season. He helped anchor a line that paved the way for 1,687 yards on the ground and finished seven games with giving up one sack or less. Ignatovig started all 10 games at left tackle and finished the year with a 91-percent blocking percentage and 52 knockdowns. 

Koikoi (Randallstown, Md. / St. Paul's School) earned second team All-CC honors. The senior defensive lineman had 28 stops with 1.5 sacks and three tackles for a loss (TFL).  

The National Bowl Game is an annual post-season college football all-star game consisting of top players from Non-FBS schools set for Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Florida International University's Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium. The National Bowl Game showcases All-American and All-Conference seniors from around the Nation that travel to the game from more than 30 states representing 400+ Division 2,3 & NAIA schools.

The 2015 D3 Senior Classic is scheduled for Dec. 19 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Going into its sixth year, it has attracted the best football players DIII football has to offer, boasting rosters that are consistently 82-percent All-Americans. The DIII Senior Classic is played in Myrtle Beach on the third Saturday of December and is the second game in a four-bowl games series called the National Scouting Showcase.

The Dream Bowl is set for Jan. 18th at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.  The event is an All-Star Showcase of the best FCS, D-II and D-III players from across the country. The bowl is an event focused on giving college seniors an ideal and celebrated sendoff to their college careers while also giving them the coaching, instruction and opportunity to potentially start their professional careers.
