Series History: Franklin & Marshall's men's soccer team (3-4-1, 1-1 CC) is looking to close out September on a positive note, hosting rival Dickinson (5-2-1, 1-0-1 CC) on Wednesday in the Diplomats only contest of the week. The last three games have each gone to the Red Devils with F&M seeking its first series win since Nov. 17, 2013.

Last Game Against Dickinson: F&M, ranked No. 2 in the nation at the time, fell to Dickinson by a 2-1 score on the road last Oct. 29th. Brendan McGovern tallied both of the Red Devils' goals in the 21st and 65th minutes. The Diplomats got on the board with two seconds remaining in the game off a Robert Maze score. 

Overall, shots belonged to the Diplomats by a staggering 24-9 margin with a 13-5 edge in the second half. Corners also favored F&M at 14-3. Ben Draheim led the way with five shots, followed by Ugo Okolie with four and Zach Colton with three.

Last Week: F&M fell to a pair of the nation's top teams on the road last week, dropping a 3-0 match against Rowan, who received votes in the top-25 poll, on Wednesday and following with a 3-2 heartbreaker against No. 23 Haverford on Saturday. 

Against Rowan, action was even through the opening 40 minutes of competition before the Profs broke through for a 40th-minute score. A pair of second-half goals sealed the win for Rowan.

Trailing by a 2-1 score with just under four minutes to go in regulation, F&M rallied to even the contest off a Ryan Corr goal. Draheim set up the play with a well-placed cross that was finished off by Corr for the dramatic equalizer. However, F&M's resilient effort came up short when Haverford responded in the 90th minute with forward Nick Janelli's second goal of the game to retake the advantage.

Among the Leaders (CC): Connolly's five assists are tied for second among CC men's soccer players, while Tonelli's five goals stand alone in fifth. Tonelli's 10 points are also good for fifth. Goalkeeper Sebastian Jenkins is tied for third with 26 saves.

Among the Leaders (NCAA): As a team, F&M ranks seventh among all DIII institutions in corner kick opportunities per game with an average of 8.00. 

Record Book Watch: Tonelli has 10 game-winning goals in his career, a mark that is tied for second in program history. Ben Beaver '13 leads the way with 20. The senior forward also has 22 career goals, which places him 12th on the all-time list, while his 47 career points stand alone in 18th. Beaver tops each category with 47 and 104, respectively.
