Cornell Handles Men's Squash
LANCASTER, Pa. -- Cornell handed Franklin & Marshall a 9-0 setback in the men’s squash season opener for both teams.
Ben Lurio played Mckay Claghorn to five games at the eighth position. Lurio dropped the first two games, but picked up the next two 9-6, 9-1, before falling 9-2 in the fifth. Chris Gagnier and Ry Hawley each won the first game at the third and fourth positions, respectively, but dropped the next three in the losses.
Chris Sachvie defeated F&M’s top player, Nadav Tannen, 9-7, 9-8, 9-2. Alexander Domenick bested Sadiq Madraswala 9-3, 9-3, 9-0 in the second position.
The Diplomats return to action tomorrow at
George Washington.
