Dickinson Escapes Diplomats

CARLISLE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 19 men's squash team was edged by No. 17 Dickinson in a tough 5-4 defeat Saturday afternoon on the road. 

The Diplomats fell to 3-13 with the loss while the Red Devils improved to 9-7.

By the Numbers

Tied at 4-4, the deciding match occurred at the No. 5 position, a 3-0 sweep in favor of the Dickinson. Only two of the nine contests resulted in a sweep, with a pair of matches going to five frames. F&M was strong at the top of the order with Sanjay Jeeva (No. 1) and Silvio Soom (No. 2) each securing 3-1 wins.

King Bassett battled back from a 2-1 deficit to win each of his final two frames at No. 6, while Michael Sorochev (No. 9) responded to an opening-game loss by winning three straight.
