LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's swimming team holds a commanding lead after day one of the F&M Invitational. The Diplomats accumulated 130 points after two events on Friday night and have a 55-point lead over second-place Washington College.

A team of Dennis Chen, Patrick Musselman, Jin Hwang and John Zipp earned a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:27.17.Teammates Zach Wilt, William Cappuccio, Jake Reingold and Tommy Bergstrom placed fifth in the event with a time of 1:29.19.

In the 1650 freestyle relay, Reingold touched the wall second with a time of 16:36.33. Tim Landon earned a third-place finish with a time of 16:49.71.

Patrick Meehan and Paul Edwards rounded out the top-10 finishers for F&M in the event. Meehan placed seventh with a time of 17:20.61, while Edwards finished eighth with a time of 17:28.97.

The Diplomats continue the F&M Invitational tomorrow with finals set for 6:00 p.m.
