GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Nils Michaelis and Kwaku Anno won three events apiece at the 2010 Little Three track and field meet hosted by Gettysburg. Dickinson won the event with 154 points, followed by Gettysburg with 132 points, and Franklin & Marshall in third with 116 points. Michaelis and Anno, teamed up with Mike Dohrmann and Eric Pierot for a first-place 4 x 400-meter relay.
Michaelis earned top honors in the 100-meter dash, 110- and 400-meter hurdles, while Anno won the 200-meter dash and the long and triple jumps. Michaelis finished the 100 in 11.36 seconds. He finished the 110 hurdles in 15.31 seconds, and teammate Mike Dohrmann in third place in 17.07. Michaelis won the 400 hurdles with a time of 57.90 seconds and Dohrmann finished third at 59.89.
The 4 x400 team ran a time of 3:25.42, defeating second-place Dickinson by 1.59 seconds.
Anno earned first in the 200, crossing the line in 22.67 seconds. He cleared a distance of 19’ 11.00” to win the long jump, and jumped a distance of 40’ 05.00” in the triple to earn first. Brian Rivera placed third in the triple, jumping 36’ 11.00”.
On the field, Joe Strawitz finished third in the pole vault, wtih a distance of 10’ 11.75”. Christian O’Conner earned second in the hammer throw with a distance of 106’ 00”.
The Diplomats return to action on April 2 at Richard Stockton. The first event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
