Diplomats Seventh At CC Championship
HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Nils Michaelis won two gold medals to help Franklin & Marshall to a seventh place finish at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championship Saturday.
Michaelis earned the Diplomats first gold with a 7.77 in the 55-meter hurdles. Teammate Mike Dohrmann took fourth with a 8.08.
Brian Rivera and Tim Tillman went two and three for F&M in the long jump. Rivera had 20-10 and Tillman sailed 20-5.25.
Michaelis picked up his second gold by teaming with Tillman, Rivera and Dohrman to take first in the 4x200 relay with a 1:32.55. They were a hair faster than Muhlenberg (1:32.59).
Joe Strawitz, Angelo Arce, Ezra Rothman and Ryan Bell placed fifth in the 4x800 relay with a 8:03.43. Dohrman, Tillman, Rivera and Michaelis placed sixth in the 4x400 relay with a 3:36.76. Michaelis was also fourth in the 200 with a 23.13.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action March 5 at Virginia Tech.
