Tillman Nabs Pair of Third-Place Finishes
WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Tim Tillman registered a pair of third-place finishes as the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team competed at the West Chester Open on Friday. There was no team scoring in the event.
Tillman delivered two of F&M's four third-place finishes on the day, taking third in the 110 meter hurdles (16:52) and the long jump (6.24m). He also placed sixth in the 200 meters at 23.69, just behind Ibrahim Kamara (5th/23.59).
In addition to Tillman, Kamara and Vincent Acosta also turned in third-place marks, with Kamara racing to third in the 400 meters at 53.81, and Acosta grabbing third in the shot put with a toss of 12.55 meters.
Acosta also earned a fourth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 37.82 meters, while Bob McCarron came in eighth at 32.00 meters. Steve Jordan also notched a fourth-place showing in the 5000 meters, crossing in 17:01.57.
Angelo Arce grabbed fifth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:22.22.
The Diplomats are back in action on Friday for day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships at Ursinus.
