LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall junior Logan Lewis was named Centennial Conference (CC) Outstanding Field Performer on Wednesday by the conference office. The award marks Lewis' second time being recognized by the CC after earning Rookie of the Year honors in 2015.
Lewis earned two gold medals and a bronze in the throwing events at the CC Championships from May 5-7. He opened the meet by winning the inaugural Conference Championship in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.70 meters (149'-11") before recording an effort of 15.41 meters (50'-6.75") to claim his third shot put title in three years. A third-place effort in the discus rounded out the weekend for the Sidney, Neb. native.
F&M collected 63 points at the CC Championships to finish fifth in the team standings.
