Women's Basketball Announces Class of 2012

Franklin & Marshall College head women's basketball coach Ashlee Courter announced today the four student-athletes that will join the Diplomats' program as freshmen for the upcoming season.

On the women's side, all four players hail from Pennsylvania: Megan Pauley (Agnes Irwin), Casey Downie (The Hill School), Emily Johnson (Red Lion) and Allison Bauer (Conestoga Valley). Last season, F&M earned the title of Centennial Conference (CC) regular-season champions and advanced to the CC tournament for the first time since 2004. The Diplomats finished with a 19-7 overall record and 14-4 mark in conference play.

Megan Pauley - Audubon, PA (Agnes Irwin)
High School: Became first 1,000-point scorer in Agnes Irwin history... Finished with 1,032 career points... Averaged 14.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals as a senior... Named First-Team All-Inter-Ac, All-Main Line and All-Delco... Won White Blazer Award for being top senior athlete... All-Star Labor Classic participant... Helped team produce a 15-12 record, marking first winning season since 1990... Honor Roll... 

Casey Downie - Pottstown, PA (The Hill School)
High School: Helped team finish 17-8 in last season... MVP and Spirit Cup award... First-Team All-Area and All-MAPL... Led area in points per game as a senior... Received Jodi Calvario Award for academic and athletic excellence...

Emily Johnson - Brogue, PA (Red Lion)
High School: Led squad to a 22-6 record and a Division Championship... Team ranked second in the county... Received Sportsmanship award through American Legion... Graduated Magna Cum Lade...

Allison Bauer - Lancaster, PA (Conestoga Valley)
High School: Four-year varsity starter... Three-year captain... Two-time first-team All-Star... Scored 1,161 career points to rank sixth in Conestoga Valley history... Section Champions freshman and junior years... Three-year varsity starter of field hockey team... Senior captain... Second-Team All-Star... First-Team All-State Academic...Honor Roll... National Honor Society... C. Richard Plank Scholarship...
