Head-to-Head:  Franklin & Marshall and Frostburg State are meeting for just the second time with the Diplomats having never won a game. F&M is playing Messiah for the 33rd time with the Falcons holding an 18-14 series lead. The Diplomats last beat Messiah in 2001 with the Falcons winning 10 of 11 games from 1995-2005.

Last Time Out for FS: After some last-second heroics in a win Saturday at Pitt-Greensburg, the Frostburg State women's basketball team could not repeat the feat in a 55-52 loss at Shenandoah on Tuesday afternoon.

After a Bobcats' timeout with 13.5 seconds left and the team trailing, 54-52, Brynn Arnone missed a short jumper from the right block. The rebound was tied up and possession went to the Hornets. Frostburg fouled on the inbound pass, and Hornet guard Sara D'Amico made 1-of-2 from the line. Mindy Sharp's inbound could not be corralled by Arnone, and the Bobcats did not get off a final shot to tie the score.

In a game where neither team led by more than four points, Shenandoah held that advantage at 48-44 after a 7-0 run with 5:07 to play. Arnone broke the run with a lay-up and Stephanie Straka nailed a three to put the Bobcats ahead, 49-48, with 3:24 to play. Straka scored 10 points off the bench.

Last Time We Met MC: Guard Eli Cook connected on nine-of-15 from the floor for a game high 18 points as the #11 Messiah College Falcons shot 49.2% from the field to manage Franklin & Marshall 68-31.

Trailing 56-18 with 7:47 left on the game clock, the Diplomats outscored Messiah 13-9 down the stretch for the 67-31 final score.

Brittany Braxton led the way for F&M with 10 points, guards Sarah Meisenberg and Amanda Miceli chipped in four points apiece and guard Dana Johns hit a pair of three-pointers in the second half for six points.
