Franklin & Marshall enters the final month of the regular season with an overall record of 8-10 and a Centennial Conference (CC) record of 5-8 which places the Diplomats eighth in the CC standings. Muhlenberg leads the group with a 13-1 CC record.
Series History: F&M opens the week with a crucial matchup against Ursinus. The Bears stand one game ahead in the CC standing at the 6-9 mark. F&M holds a slight edge in the overall series at 32-29 and delivered a victory earlier this season.
The Diplomats then host No. 18 Muhlenberg on Saturday. The Mules hold the overall advantage at 33-22 and also boast a 14-4 record when playing in Lancaster.
Last Time We Met Ursinus: A 7-2 run to start the fourth quarter helped F&M secure the 59-56 victory on Nov. 28, 2017. Haley Pilone led all players with 23 points, going seven-for-eight from the free throw line, shot 40 percent from behind the arc, and came away with four steals. Last Time We Met Muhlenberg: A dominant first quarter led No. 12 Muhlenberg over F&M 75-39 in the first CC matchup of 2018. Hamill recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Brown also brought in 13 points and six rebounds. For a full recap, click here.
Among the Leaders (CC): Pilone currently ranks first in the CC with a 18.1 points per game average, while her 42.4 percent from behind the arc is good for third.
Hamill now ranks second by averaging 16.3 points per game and her 8.9 rebounds per game place her fifth.
Among the Leaders (NCAA): Among Division III players, Pilone's 3.39 three-pointers per game are good for eighth, and Sarah Pisani ranks 13th in assists per game, averaging 5.8.
Milestone Watch: Multiple Diplomats now rank in the top-20 in program record categories. Erica Brown places 16th in total career points with 907. Anne Krumrine '90 leads the category with 1,813. Brown also ranks 10th with 608 career rebounds, while Krumrine '90 leads with 1,182.
Pilone comes in at second for made three-pointers in a career with 147. Dana Johns '06 leads the category with 178.
