Diplomats Compete at Donahue Cup

WORCESTER, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall women's rowing competed in the Donahue Cup on Saturday morning hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The Diplomats had two boats competing in the Varsity 8+ events, with F&M claiming fourth in the first race.

Women's Varsity 8+ crew of Danielle Tunkel-cox, Molly Hack, Maggie Provencher, Seymone Killins, Allison Ercolano, Katie Winfree, Haley Post, Debra Gladwin, and Tory Trovillion took fourth place with a time of 7:17.33 behind nationally ranked crews of No. 1 Williams, No. 11 Simmons, and No. 15 WPI, while beating Connecticut College by 17 seconds.

The second Varisty 8+ team of Kris Dowd-cox, Jennie Silver, Abby Benkert, Olivia Hill, Emma Cedar, Mackenzie Dix, Maayan Shalvi, Julia Whyte, Jess Bechhofer took fifth with a time of 8:05.8

The Diplomats return to the water on Sunday when F&M competes in the Donahue Cup. Start time is scheduled for 9:50 AM.
