Crew to Compete in MARC Championships
LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's rowing team will be competing in 2012 Middle Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championships at Gifford Pinchot State Park on Saturday.
The MARC is comprised of teams from Bryn Mawr, F&M, Marietta, North Park University, Richard Stockton, Rutgers-Camden, Mary Washington, and Washington College.
The Diplomats placed third at last year's championships behind Washington College and Marietta, and will look to build off of last year's finish.
"We've had some historic results for our program: the women's varsity 8 won its first three races, has beaten crews from several programs we've never beaten before, and is poised to finish in the top three at the MARC Championships for the second consecutive year - a first for our program," stated head coach Robert Weber.
Race time is set for 9:15 am in Lewisberry, Pa.
