Five Diplomats Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

Complete Scholar-Athlete List

LANCASTER, Pa. – Five members of the Franklin & Marshall women's rowing team were named to the 2017 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete list, announced Wednesday. Teresa Chappell and Leah Issokson earned the honor for the second straight year, while Jillian Goss-Holmes, Helen Nelson, and Margaret Stoner all garnered the distinction for the first time.

To earn scholar-athlete recognition, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for their career, rowed in a minimum of 75 percent of the team's spring races and be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility.

All five Diplomats continue to be recognized for their work inside the classroom as each was also named MARC Academic All-Conference earlier in the month.

F&M reached as high as No. 15 in the CRCA National Poll and finished second at the 2017 MARC Championships for the second straight season after accumulating 52 points.
