Six Rowers Named All-Region

LANCASTER, Pa. - Six members of Franklin & Marshall's Crews were named All-Region for the 2007-2008 season. Three men and three women attained All-Mid Atlantic Region status.

Seniors Chelsea McIntyre and Sarah Clark were named to the All-Region Varsity Women's Team, while Brittany George was named to the Freshman/Novice Team. Sophomore, Conor Borak, and senior, Ron Nahass, each earned All-Region Varsity honors for the men, while Brent Schneider was named to the Novice team.

McIntyre and Clark were instrumental in the great strides made by F&M's varsity women's team competing in its second year. The Diplomats finished in third place amongst the ten teams competing in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Regatta. F&M won its first varsity race last fall in Scranton. The first spring varsity win came two weeks back with F&M taking down Bryn Mawr College.

The men's crew continued to shave its own times throughout the season, making tremendous improvements over the past year. The Diplomats won a handful of races this season including the first in their new shell back on March 30 when F&M defeated Susquehanna.
