Willert Named CC Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa - Franklin & Marshall senior Becky Willert has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the senior forward's first-ever CC Player of the Week honor.

Willert exploded for a hat trick in the Diplomats' season-opener, a 3-2 overtime victory over visiting Elizabethtown last Friday. She opened the F&M scoring less than a minute into the contest off a feed from junior Steph McDonald, before recording an unassisted score in the 17th minute.

Willert then capped off the hat trick by finding the back of the cage just over three minutes into overtime off an assist from junior Chelsey Talhelm. The senior totaled five shots on goal in the contest, giving her a .600 shooting percentage on the week.

F&M travels to Alvernia for a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 pm.
