F&M Ranked 12th by WomensFieldHockey.com

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall field hockey team has been ranked 12th in the first WomensFieldHockey.com poll of the 2011 season. The Diplomats were also ranked 18th in the most recent Kookabura/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll.

Centennial Conference foe Ursinus is the only other CC school to earn a spot in the poll. The Bears are 3-0 on the year and hold the second spot in the rankings.

F&M is 3-0 with non-conference home victories over Elizabehttown (3-2 OT), No. 9 Eastern (6-2) and Immaculata (8-0). The Diplomats will play on the road for the first time on Thursday, September 15 as they travel to Reading, Pa. to take on Alvernia at 4:30 pm.
