Mariano Named Synapse Sports Coach of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's field hockey coach, Missy Mariano, was named Synapse Sports Coach of the Year in NCAA Division III. The honor is the second Coach of the Year for Mariano, earning Centennial Conference Coach of the Year earlier this year. 

In her fourth season, Mariano took the Diplomats to their first NCAA berth since 1992. The Diplomats compiled a school-record 17 wins, earned their first-ever Centennial Conference (CC) regular season title, advanced to the CC title game for the second time and moved onto the NCAA Sweet 16 before falling to Middlebury, 2-1.

Mariano has the third most victories in program history with a 60-34 career mark.
