LANCASTER, Pa. - The final 18 holes of the Lancaster Intercollegiate Classic have been rained out and will not be rescheduled. Day two was set for play at Crossgates Golf Course in Millersville with Franklin & Marshall holding a one-stroke lead on West Chester.
Heavy rain pounded Lancaster overnight and continued well into the morning. Combined with the heavy rain over the weekend, the course was not ready for tournament play.
The tournament has been decided by the first 18 holes with Franklin & Marshall claiming the medal with a score of 379. West Chester finishes second with a score of 380. East Stroudsburg finishes third overall with a 389. The Warriors produced the event medalist, Karen Cash, who was set to enter the day with a nine-stroke lead on the field. Stevenson University finished in fourth place.
The cancellation ends Franklin & Marshall's fall schedule.
