Diplomats Fourth at CC Championships

HAMPSTEAD, Md. -- Paris Haas finished ninth to lead Franklin & Marshall to a fourth place finish at the 2011 Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championships. Gettysburg took the team title while Jennie Weiner from McDaniel came away with the conference crown.

The Bullets finished with a 378, followed by McDaniel (380) and Dickinson (433) at third. F&M turned in a 470 and Susquehanna ended with 488. Muhlenberg and Ursinus did not finish play.

Haas finished the 5,835-yard, par 72 course with a 100, ten strokes away from Weiner. Saira Dar carded 106 for the 13th spot while Katie Cecere finished with a 126. Katherine McKiernan and Crystal Egelkamp wrapped up the Diplomats five with a 138 and 139 respectively.

The first round of the championships was cancelled due to the weather.  Piney Branch Golf Club closed the course yesterday morning at 11:00 a.m. and declared it unplayable due to the water sitting on the greens.
