ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall took fourth place amongst the four scoring teams at the Muhlenberg Invitational Monday afternoon at the Lehigh Country Club. The Diplomats had a pair of golfers, Elizabeth Boyer and Grace Gallagher, finish in the top 20.
Boyer shot a 101 on the 5,843 yard, par 72 course finishing in 14th place, 20 strokes behind the tournament winner, Holly Shubilla of Kutztown. Shubilla edged out Muhlenberg's Kimberly Snyder for first place by three strokes. Gallagher finished tied for 17th having shot a 106.
Kutztown had three golfers finish in the top five, cruising to a 32-stroke win in team competition. Muhlenberg took second, followed by Dickinson, then Franklin & Marshall. Five other schools had entrants in the tournament, but not enough to factor in the team scoring.
