Kunkle Shoots 86 to Earn Medalist Honors at Ursinus Women's Golf Spring Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, PA -- Jessica Kunkle (Sr., Centre Hall, PA/State College) carded a score of 86 to earn medalist honors and lead the Franklin & Marshall College women's golf team to a third place finish at the Ursinus College Spring Classic.

Overall, Kunkle was one stroke better than Muhlenberg's Kristin Brushi and two ahead of Gettysburg's Merrill Fortier (88) and Ursinus' Katie Gumz (88) as the score marks her best official round of the spring season.

In other finishes, Meaghan Eyler (Fr., Catoctin, MD) shot 106, Simronjit Sandhu (So., Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) carded a 118, Steph Dibelka (Sr., Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) shot 119 and Erin Statler (Fr., Arlington, VA/Yorktown) tapped in for a 123.

Gettysburg captured the team title with a score of 373, while Muhlenberg finished second with a 386 and Ursinus and Dickinson failed to field complete teams.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on April 14 at the Susquehanna Invitational.
