Kunkle Places Seventh to Lead F&M to Eighth Place at Gettysburg College Women's Golf Invitational

GETTYSBURG, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College's Jessica Kunkle (Jr., Centre Hall, PA/State College) shot 94 to place seventh as the Diplomats finished eighth of nine teams at the 2004 Gettysburg College Women's Golf Invitational hosted at the Links at Gettysburg.

Kunkle, who finished four strokes ahead of Gettysburg's Emily Garfinkel (98) as the runner-up Centennial Conference finisher behind medallist Kelly Cramp of McDaniel (80), shot 46 over the front nine and 48 for the back nine.

For F&M, Simronjt Sandhu (Fr., Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) shot 131 to tie for 35th, Melanie Topel (Sr., Arnold, MD/Severn School) shot 150 to tie for 44th, Alexis Felder (Fr., Keene, NH/Keene) shot 152 to place 46th and Lindsay Hilbert (Sr., Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) carded a round of 165 for 48th place.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on April 20 at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational.
