Kunkle Earns Medalist Honors to Lead Women's Golf to Runner-Up Finish at F&M Invitational
LANCASTER, PA -- Jessica Kunkle (Jr., Centre Hall, PA/State College) shot 90 to earn medalist honors and lead the Diplomats to a runner-up finish at the 2004 Franklin & Marshall College Women's Golf Invitational hosted at Cool Creek Golf Course.
Kunkle, who finished two strokes ahead of Dickinson's Melissa Crognale and Gettysburg's Emily Haas as the top Centennial Conference finisher, earned her first medallist honors of the year in her team's invitational.
For F&M, Simronjt Sandhu (Fr., Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest) shot 115 to place 10th, Maggie Charleroy (So., Cranbury, NJ/Princeton) shot 120 to place 13th, Melanie Topel (Sr., Arnold, MD/Severn School) shot 128 to place 14th and Lindsay Hilbert (Sr., Fort Washington, PA/Upper Dublin) carded a round of 152 for 16th place.
Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on April 24-25 at the Centennial Conference Championships in Ocean City, Maryland.
