PEACH BOTTOM, PA - Elizabeth Boyer (So., Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) finished with a two day total of 179 (90-89) to earn medalist and All-Centennial Conference honors while leading Franklin & Marshall College to third place at the 2006 Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championships hosted by the Diplomats at Pilgrim's Oak Golf Course.
Boyer, who finished four strokes ahead of McDaniel College's Christine Malkiewicz (91-92-183) for first place, becomes the first F&M player to earn medalist honors at the Centennial Conference women's golf championships as Jessica Kunkle '05 previously recorded the Diplomats best finishes placing second in 2003 and 2002.
For F&M, Meaghan Eyler (So., Thurmont, MD/Catoctin) finished i14th (108-110-218), Christine Dimattia (Fr., Garden City, NY/Garden City) (115-111-226) and Carolyn Devens (Fr., Sewickly, PA) (112-114-226) tied for 16th and Megan Clark (Sr., Bedminster, NJ) tied for 20th (124-113-237) in the 36-hole championship.
Joining Boyer on the All-Conference team was Malkiewicz, Muhlenberg's Kristen Amore (89-98-187) and Dana Bielecki (101-87-188) and Gettysburg College's Emily Garfinkel (92-96-188).
McDaniel captured the team title with a 762 (389-373), while Muhlenberg College (414-402-816), F&M (425-423-848) and Dickinson College (441-440-881) rounded out the teams completing both rounds of the championship.
