Two Diplomats Honored by Conference

Shannon Summers and Lidia Sanza were both honored by the Centennial Conference (CC) on Monday. Summers was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while Sanza picked up the Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Summers scored four goals and handed out six assists with six draw controls in a 2-0 week for the fifth-ranked Diplomats.  She tallied nine points in the 19-1 win at Dickinson with four goals and five assists.

This marks the second time Summers received has earned the honor in her career. The first came last year following the week of April 7th.

Sanza surrendered just one goal in 90 minutes of work last week for an 0.67 goals-against average to go along with an .875 save percentage.

Sanza picks up her fourth player of week award in her career. She received the honor twice last and once in 2007. She was named to the WomensLacrosse.com honor roll last week.
