Diplomats Trio Named ECAC All-Stars
CAPE COD, Mass -- Three members of Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team were named to the ECAC Division III Metro/South All-Star Team when it was announced on Tuesday. Paulette Cutruzzula and Lidia Sanza were selected for the first team, while Blake Hargest landed on the second team.

is the 2010 ECAC Division III Metro/South Women’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Year. Jaeger had 111 points on the season
with 86 goals, including three gamewinners, and 25 assists. She
collected 25 ground balls, won 80 draw controls, and caused nine
turnovers during the season.
Nicole Valianti, a junior defender for Rowan University, had an
outstanding season, scooping up 30 ground balls and causing seven
turnovers, earning 2010 ECAC Division III Metro/South Defensive
Player of the Year honors. The New Jersey Athletic Conference
Defensive Player of the Year, Valianti was also involved frequently
on the offensive end, scoring 20 goals and handing out 12 assists
this season.
Kailee Beal of Montclair State was selected as the 2010 ECAC
Division III Metro/South Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Year.
The freshman attacker had 33 goals and 11 assists on the season,
giving her 44 points. She also picked up 29 groundballs and posted
12 caused turnovers.
Joining Jaeger as an ECAC first team attacker is Kim Cudmore from
Salisbury. The Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year had
85 points on the season with 35 goals and 50 assists. Senior Nina
Emala of Gettysburg College had an impressive season with 80
points, tallying 59 goals and 21 assists. Emala also won 31 draw
controls for the Bullets. Finalizing the attack is Meghan Brady
from Catholic University. Brady was a leader for the Cardinals,
scoring 45 goals on 75 shots. She totaled 55 points on the
season.
In the midfield on the ECAC first team is Jessica Chmielewski and
Beth Rhodey from Salisbury. Chmielewski netted 30 goals and dished
out 24 assists, giving her 54 points on the season. She also caused
25 turnovers and gathered 26 ground balls. Rhodey dominated draw
controls for the Sea Gulls, winning 41 this season. She also scored
41 goals on the season. Also earning a spot is senior midfielder
Hollis Stahl from Gettysburg. The Centennial Conference Player of
the Year totaled 71 points on the season, netting 56 goals and
assisting on 15. She recorded 47 ground balls, 58 draw controls and
29 caused turnovers. Finalizing the midfield is the College of New
Jersey sophomore Kathleen Notos. The middie tallied 51 goals during
her sophomore campaign on 94 shots. She won an impressive 100 draw
controls, 38 ground balls, and 30 caused turnovers.
Joining Valianti on the ECAC first team defensive unit is Franklin
and Marshall’s Paulette Cutuzzula. Cutuzzula helped the
Diplomats to a 14-3 record before postseason play. While collecting
21 ground balls and causing 16 turnovers, Cutuzzula also helped on
the offense end once this season with a goal. Jess Glazer from
Salisbury joins the first team after starting every game for the
Sea Gulls. She scooped up 38 ground balls and caused 20
turnovers.
Earning ECAC first team goalkeeper honors is senior Lidia Sanza
from Franklin and Marshall. The senior started every game for the
Dips, allowing 121 goals, for a goals against average of 6.39.
Playing in over 1,136 minutes, she registered a .525 save
percentage, and went 16-4 on the season.

The ECAC is the nation's largest athletic and the only
multi-divisional conference with approximately 300 Divisions I, II,
and III colleges and universities from Maine to North Carolina and
