Diplomats Blank Owls

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – No. 7 Franklin & Marshall defeated Bryn Mawr 19-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action Wednesday evening. The Diplomats improved to 9-2, 3-0 CC while the Owls dropped to 4-6, 0-4 CC.  

Claire Jackson led the way with three goals and one assist while Taylor Freud, Siobhan Burke, Brittney Jorgenson and Grace Saliba all finished with a pair of goals. Gabby Frank, Mary Mitchell, Caroline Krohn, Kimberly Abruzzo, Emily Everdell, Natalie Chay, Vanessa Budd and Yen Baker all tallied a goal for the Diplomats. 

Krohn added three assists and is now two points shy of 200 career points. Ali Kelly dished out two helpers with Christie Huidekoper, Casey Madden and Emily D'Erasmo also assisting on goals. 

Freud and Anastasia Mergner both came away with three draws and Frank finished with a game-high two ground balls. 

Kelsey Hoffman picked up the win with two saves and improved to 9-2 and Kaitlin Hardt finished with a save in 45 minutes of action.  

F&M outshot Bryn Mawr 34-5, came away with 14-of-21 draws and went 8-for-9 in clear attempts. 

The Diplomats return to action on Friday when F&M travels No. 4 The College of New Jersey for a 6:00 p.m. game.
