Moriarty Named Inside Lacrosse Attacker of the Year

Complete IL Attackers of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Paige Moriarty was named the 2017 Inside Lacrosse (IL) Co-Attacker of the Year for Division III, announced on Thursday. The honor is the second straight for Moriarty and marked the third time a Diplomat earned the distinction, joining Jen Pritchard in 2007.

Moriarty (Glen Ridge, N.J. / Glen Ridge) continues to add to her impressive postseason accolades after also being named to the All-America First Team for the second consecutive year, collecting her third straight All-Region award and being named All-Centennial Conference (CC) for the third year in a row.

The junior attacker led the Centennial with 101 points and was the only player to eclipse 80 points. Her 56 goals were third in the CC while her 45 assists placed second. Moriarty scored a goal in all 22 of the team's games, including eight contests of three scores or more.

F&M claimed its seventh Centennial Conference (CC) Crown and 12th overall Conference Championship while advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the fifth straight year and winning 15 or more games for the 11th time in the last 12 years after compiling a 17-5 overall record.
