Devils Blank Diplomats
CHARLISE, Pa. - Sarah Montminy's two assists led the Red Devils to a 3-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall in a Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer game. Dickinson improves to 12-2 (5-2 CC) while the Diplomats fall to 3-13 (1-7 CC).
Dickinson jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Genevieve Olson found the back of the net at 5:08. Neither team scored for the next 70 minutes of play as both goalies settled in. F&M keeper Katie Golding was under attack all night facing 15 shots on goal while stopping 12 of them. Golding falls to 3-11.
Montminy's first assist came at 75:56 when she found Molly Schaefer for the tally. The Red Devils went up 3-0 when Marissa Kunkle banged home a corner by Montminy.
Dickinson dominated in shots, holding a 31-6 advantage and picked up 10 corners to the Diplomats zero.
Kailyn Hartmann earned the win for Dickinson, collecting five saves.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action on October 24th when the Diplomats host Muhlenberg. The game will be a part of the homecoming festivities and the F&M seniors will be honored before the game.
