Series History: Franklin & Marshall squares off with Shenandoah on Wednesday, marking the second straight year the Diplomats are facing the Hornets. In the only meeting in series history, Shenandoah escaped Lancaster with a narrow 1-0 in 2016's season opener. F&M returns home on Sunday to face Hood for the first time.

Last Game Against Shenandoah: Last year's contest against Shenandoah went down to the wire with the Diplomats falling prey to an 86th-minute, go-ahead goal from the Hornets in a narrow 1-0 defeat. Shenandoah finished the game with a 21-7 edge in shots and a 7-2 advantage in corners.

Last Week: F&M went 1-1 in its opening week, falling to Pacific Lutheran by a 3-0 tally on Friday before bouncing back in resounding fashion with a 1-0 upset of No. 15 Stevens on Saturday.

Pacific Lutheran notched scores in the 2nd, 56th and 63rd minutes. The Diplomats generated their fair share of scoring chances but were unable to light the scoreboard. The Lutes led the way in shots at 15-5 and corners at 5-1. Reanna Leoni and Kyra Judge paced F&M with two each while Sabrina Graziano also was credited with an attempt.

Against No. 15 Stevens, freshman midfielder Allison Klei scored her first career goal with a 55th minute marker that delivered the Diplomats their upset win. After Leoni won a loose ball in the midfield and beat a Stevens' defender, she found Klei up top, who took on several defenders and freed herself up for a left-footed strike that skipped into the corner to put F&M ahead.

Upset Win: Entering last Saturday's game against Stevens, the Diplomats were winless against top-25 teams in their last 18 opportunities. F&M last tied a ranked opponent back in 2003, drawing with No. 19 Elizabethtown in a 1-1 game in 2003.

Among the Leaders: Freshman goalkeeper Gabby Panayotakis is tied for second among the Conference leaders with 13 saves through 180 minutes of action.
