LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall softball team learned its NCAA path on Monday afternoon with the airing of the NCAA DIII Softball Selection Show. The Diplomats will travel to Ashland, Va. to take on Virginia Wesleyan on Friday in the first game of the Tournament, with Averett and hosts Randolph-Macon also earning a spot in the four-team pod.

The four-team regional will play out from May 12-14 in the same format as the CC Playoffs, with one winner earning a spot in the Super Regionals, which will be contested from May 19-20. The winner of the two-team Super Regional will earn a berth into the eight-team DIII College Softball World Series, which will run from May 25-30.
