Jones Named Centennial Co-Player of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's senior third baseman, Robyn Jones, was named the Centennial Conference's Softball Co-Player of the Week on Monday. She is the first Diplomat fielder to earn the honor this season. She shared the honor with Muhlenberg catcher RiRi Ferigno.
Jones hit .563 (9-for-16) with three doubles and a home run to go with five RBIs and three runs scored. She also recorded a sacrifice hit and a stolen base. Ferrigno hit .429 (6-for-14) with two home runs and 9 RBI as the Mules split their last four games of the season. She started Muhlenberg's 8-run inning against Ursinus with a single and capped it with her second career grand slam. Ferrigno added a three-run homer in the first game of the Washington doubleheader.
Jones, a 2007 All-Centennial Second Team selection, will wrap up her career tomorrow against York. She will await word of any additional All-Centennial honors as well.
