Franklin & Marshall 5-0: Women's Swimming Remains Perfect with 114-83 Victory Over Bryn Mawr

LANCASTER, PA - Jenna Walters (Fr., Hershey, PA/Hershey) won the 200 yard freestyle (2:01.46) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:21.32) to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's swim team to a 114-83 victory over Bryn Mawr College in both squads Centennial Conference dual meet opener.

The win raises the Diplomats record to 5-0 as the mark ranks as the best season start in program history.

Swimming one day following a victories over the College of New Jersey and Kutztown University, the Diplomats won seven out of the 11 events to sail to the 31 point victory and raise the program's record to 9-1 all-time against Bryn Mawr.

Freshman Kelly Landman (Paoli, PA/Conestoga) got the Diplomats rolling in the second event of the day as she captured the 1000 yard freestyle in a time of 10:56.25. Mary Alice Hewitt (So., Silver Springs, MD/Good Counsel) won the 50 yard freestyle (26.61), 2003 & 2003 All-America honoree Krystle Satrum (Sr., Parker, CO/Battle Ground, WA) took the 200 yard butterfly (2:18.61), Elizabeth Kraljic (So., Hackensack, NJ/Immaculate Heart) finished first in the 100 yard freestyle (57.05) and Sara Moser-Cohen (So., Fairhaven, NJ/Marine Academy of Science) swam to victory in the 500 yard freestyle (5:34.55) to round out the Diplomats' victors. Overall, Franklin & Marshall did not contest the 200-yard breaststroke or 400 yard freestyle relays.

The Diplomats (5-0, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on November 15 at home in the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center's Kunkel Aquatic Center versus Swarthmore College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
