LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Allison Wolters was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for women's tennis, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor was the second of the season for Wolters and the third of the year for a member of the Diplomats.
Wolters (Belle Mead, N.J. / Laurel Springs School) extended a nine-match winning streak in singles play with a pair of straight-set wins last week at the No. 1 position to move to 11-3 overall on the year.
She also teamed with Nicole Russo at No. 1 doubles for an 8-5 win against Dickinson on Wednesday and an 8-3 win against Haverford on Saturday, as the duo won their seventh-consecutive competition and improved to 5-0 in the Conference.
F&M holds an eight-match winning streak and sits at 9-2, 5-0 CC on the season. CC competition resumes on Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. contest against Gettysburg.
