Gleason is Golden

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall’s Erin
Gleason won two gold medals at Sunday’s final round of the
Centennial Conference Track & Field Championships. Gleason
picked up her first gold in the javelin. She threw for 32.23m,
besting Kathy Horn from Johns Hopkins by .4m.
Gleason added her second gold in the shot put. She out threw
fellow teammate Alyssa Catalano who took silver. Gleason threw
12.07m while Catalano recorded an 11.84m throw.
Henley Siegrist took fifth in 100m and 200m dash. Henley ran a
13.16 in the 100m and posted a 26.72 in the 200m.
Franklin & Marshall finished the championships in 7th place
with 50 team points. Haverford repeated as champions scoring 226.75
team points. Johns Hopkins (167.50) was second followed by
Muhlenberg (76.50), Gettysburg (74.75) and Dickinson was fifth with
74.50 team points.
Ursinus’ Christa Johnson and Johns Hopkins’ Laura
Paulsen were chosen outstanding performers on the track.
Haverford’s Jessie Belden received the honor for field
events.
