COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Strong performances in the jumps and relays powered Franklin and Marshall to a fourth-place finish at the Centennial Conference (CC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday at Ursinus. The Diplomats finished the weekend with 59 points, with Johns Hopkins tallying 180 points to win the team title.
-Muccio, Kiszka, Wylie, and Chelsea Frantz cruised to silver again in the 4x400-meter relay, posting a time of 4:06.31, just .10 back from first place.
-Wylie notched an individual second-place finish as well, marking a time of 1:00.71 to earn silver in the 400-meter dash. Muccio was also in the points, clocking a time of 1:01.90 to take sixth.
-Ward tallied a fourth silver for F&M, clearing a height of 1.55 meters (5'-1") to take second in the high jump.
-Ward added a third high finish in the long jump after taking second in the high jump and first in the triple jump yesterday. Her distance of 4.90 meters (16'-1") was good for fourth place in the event. Sabrina Piccinini followed in eighth place with a distance of 4.74 meters (15'-6.75").
-Kizska and Wylie were back in the points in the 60-meter hurdles, with Kiszka leading the way in fifth place with a time of 9.98. Wylie took seventh in the event at 10.12.
The NCAA Championships begin on March 10 in Naperville, Ill. for those that qualify.
